Upon logging into My Portal you will see a banner toward to the top of the page that prompts you to complete required school forms which include:

• Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form (This form requires signatures from both parents/guardians, except for single parent/guardian households that maintain educational rights.)
• Profile Update Form
• Student Parent Handbook
• Emergency Contact Form

Required health forms will be completed through Magnus. To access Magnus, login to My Portal, select the resources tab, and select "Magnus Health Link." Once you are on the Magnus page, you will be prompted to complete the required list of health forms for your child(ren). For more in depth instructions, please see our Magnus Assistance Sheet.

New families should receive a Magnus invitation email on June 30. For questions, please submit a ticket here.

SchoolPass
We will still be using School Pass for security, attendance, and visitor management. In August, you will receive a separate welcome email on downloading, setting up, and using the School Pass mobile application for carpool, campus visits, and more. Having your account properly setup will help our security team identify and process you when you come to campus.

Authorized Transporter with in SchoolPass 

If someone other than your child's parent or legal guardian will be transporting your child from school we that person and vehicle added to your SchoolPass account. This can be added to either parent account. Students will not be released to anyone that is not set up properly in SchoolPass. We will reach out if there is a question if a person is authorized to pick up a student.

*Carpool drivers arriving for 3:15pm pick up for Kindergarten through Fifth Grade should not arrive on campus prior to 2:50pm to make way for Primary pick up. Should you arrive early the security officer on duty will place you in a queue or could ask you to park until Primary Carpool has been completed. Follow any directions given by the security officer on duty.

Purchase Uniforms with Lands’ End: 
To order uniforms online, select "School", then "Find My School", and search "The Fay School." Please note that we no longer require formal dress uniform days.

The Clothing Nook: 
An area on Fay's campus where families can purchase gently used uniforms at a discounted price. If you are interested in purchasing from the clothing nook, please contact the Principal's Assistant, Evelyn Crockett. 

Backpacks: 
Fay students are provided with a new backpack every other year. Primary I, Kindergarten, Second Grade, and new Lower Elementary students will receive a new branded backpack at Meet the Teacher. 

We have an update for Upper Elementary (UE) students! All UE students, Third through Fifth Grade, will be given a larger size Fay branded backpack from Land's End at Meet the Teacher. They will keep these backpacks with them until they graduate. If any UE student needs a new backpack, they may purchase one through Land's End. Their first backpack is covered by the school.

Purchase Fay Spirit Gear: 
We are pleased to offer two options for our Fay Family to order additional Fay merchandise! These items can be worn on Friday's, after school hours, and during Fay events. Please note, Students are not allowed to wear t-shirts or basketball shorts Monday through Thursday.

Registration will open for Fall 2023 Stay at Fay, Play at Fay, and After School Activities on July 6 at 10:00am! If you have not yet made an account, you will login by clicking the “Login using My Portal” button at the bottom of the registration page. This will utilize your My Portal login credentials to create your Extended Day Registration Module account preloaded with your family’s information. If you have any trouble with this function, you may alternately utilize the “New User Sign-Up” section and create your account. If you have any questions about Extended Day Programs for the Fall, please contact Rachel Rubin, Director of Extended Day.

Reading over the summer, whether your child is listening to you read or whether they are reading books on their own, is critical to maintaining their reading skills and fostering their love of learning. Let’s continue to celebrate the joy and wonder of books all summer long. 

While we offer recommended resources for selecting books to read, an important way to encourage a love of reading is letting your child choose their own books to read based on their interests. Choice is powerful in motivating your child to read! Questions? Contact our Librarian, Megan Hopkins. 

Join us this summer as we celebrate the joy of play! This year all grade levels, Primary through Fifth Grade, will be reading A Stick Is an Excellent Thing by Marilyn Singer. Our goal is to inspire a love of reading and unite our community through a common experience. We invite our entire Fay Family to participate in reading together this summer! 

When we return to campus in August, students will have opportunities to explore A Stick Is an Excellent Thing, making connections to our campus and school family.

Volunteer Interest Form
Are you interested in volunteering and getting involved with the Parents' Club? Parents’ Club plays a significant role in our community as the conduit for collaboration and communication between the parent body and the school. Through volunteering together, we build a stronger and more vibrant community that enhances the educational experience of our students. Complete this form so we can connect you to volunteer opportunities.

Birthday Book Club Form
Celebrate your child's birthday by dedicating a book in your child's name to the Wolf Library for $20! On or near your child's birthday, they will get to choose a book where their birthday nameplate will be placed inside and remain for years to come. Summer birthdays can also be honored during the year!

Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Library is a special way to purchase a book in honor of your child through the Fay library. Your child will select a book with Ms. Hopkins and have a custom bookplate placed inside.

Kick off the school year at the Fay Back-to-School Roller Rink Party on Saturday, August 19 from 9:30am - 11:30am at the Dairy Ashford Roller Rink. Tickets are required for all skaters and include skates, skate assistants, pizza and drinks! Tickets can be purchased online, and the deadline to purchase a ticket is Thursday, August 17. Contact Assistant Director of Advancement Lauren Sposato for any questions!

Learn more about Parents’ Club at Fay and how to get involved at our annual Parents’ Club Coffee scheduled for Thursday, August 24 at 8:30am in the Gym. Hear directly from our Parents’ Club Co-Chairs and our Committee Chairs about the variety of programs and events that need volunteer support to be a success! The Annual Fund is the most critical fundraising effort of the year. This five-week campaign will begin in September, and will be led by chairs Lina Ortega and Joseph Ngo, parents of Ethan '26, Emma '27, and Emilia '28. For our 2022-2023 drive, we came together as TEAM FAY and achieved 100% Board, Staff, and Fay Family participation! Be on the lookout for more information coming in September. 

Join the Fay community for a spirit night at the Sugar Land Space Cowboys ballpark on Friday, September 8. The game begins at 7:05pm, but we invite you to arrive early to see Mr. Scoville throw out the first pitch and see our Third, Fourth, and Fifth Graders sing the National Anthem. A special section of tickets have been blocked off for the Fay community - you can purchase your discounted tickets and parking here. All Third, Fourth, and Fifth Graders who are interested in singing the National Anthem must pre-register by Monday, August 21 at 5:00pm. Questions? The Fay School will welcome all grandparents and special friends to visit campus with their Fay Gator! Guests will have the opportunity to meet teachers and visit classrooms, tour our campus grounds, participate in a few activities and experience all of the wonderful things that Fay does each and every day. This year, the event will be hosted “open house style” where guests and students can come and go during their allotted time schedule and participate in the activities that they so choose. All students whose last names begin with the letters A – L will participate in our morning session, and all students whose last names begin with the letters M – Z will participate in our afternoon session. Registration is currently open, and the registration deadline is Wednesday, September 13.

The Fay School will hold its annual Book Fair in-person on Thursday, September 21, and Friday, September 22, 2023, at Barnes & Noble in River Oaks. Can’t make it in person? An online book fair will run from September 21 – September 27. The Book Fair encourages a love of reading in our students, and a portion of the proceeds from the Book Fair provides funds for new reading materials in The Fay School Wolf Library. Additional details about Book Fair events and activities, including the Teacher Picks Reading List, will be released in August!

Fall Festival is a community event open to all Fay students, families, and alumni to enjoy an afternoon of carnival games, inflatables, entertainment, refreshments, and more! Fall Festival will be hosted on Fay’s campus on Sunday, October 29, from 1:30pm – 4:30pm. Tickets for the event will go on sale in September. 

Our biennial Gala is our biggest event of the year! This adults only event will include food, fun, games, live music, a live auction, and more. More information on how you can get involved coming soon!
