FAYcation 2026

Our Camp Experience

FAYcation is a day camp for children ages three years through Fifth Grade, running June 1 to 26, 2026. In addition to students enrolled at The Fay School, FAYcation is open to Houston-area students. Campers learn and grow intellectually, physically, socially, ethically, and artistically while developing self-confidence and a lifelong love of learning through an active partnership among educators, parents, and students.

Weekly Themes

Every year, each week of FAYcation has a different theme - from animal adventures to invention innovation - with a variety of activities planned around the theme. 

Week 1: June 1-5, 2026

FAYcation 2026 - Spectacular Superheroes

Spectacular Superheroes

Get ready to unleash your inner hero! Campers will create their own superheroes, design masks and capes, and take on exciting challenges that build teamwork, confidence, and courage. Through imaginative play, games, and crafts, children will discover the power of kindness, bravery, and helping others.

Week 2: June 8-12, 2026

FAYcation 2026 - Cultural Creations

Cultural Creations

Travel the world without leaving camp! Campers will explore different cultures through art, music, stories, and hands-on activities inspired by traditions from around the globe. This week celebrates creativity, diversity, and self-expression while encouraging curiosity and respect for others.

Week 3: June 15-18, 2026*

FAYcation 2026 - Stellar Space

Stellar Space

Blast off into an out-of-this-world adventure! Campers will explore planets, stars, and galaxies through space-themed crafts, science activities, and imaginative games. From rocket building to cosmic discoveries, this shorter week is packed with stellar fun and curiosity about the universe.

*Camp will be closed on June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.

Week 4: June 22-26, 2026

FAYcation 2026 - Carnival Quest

Carnival Quest

Step right up for carnival fun! Campers will enjoy classic carnival-style games, colorful crafts, and exciting challenges as they work together to create their own carnival experience. This week is all about fun, teamwork, and celebration as campers test their skills and enjoy festive activities.

Primary FAYcation Experience 

During Primary (3-4 years old) FAYcation at The Fay School, campers participate in full day or half day camps based on weekly themes taught by Fay School Faculty. Daily activities include Arts and Crafts, Literacy Explorations, and Storybook STEM activities, along with Music and Motor, two recesses, and afternoon quiet time. Each week ends with a Friday Splash Day celebration, featuring age-appropriate water play, a themed educational video, snow cones, and an end-of-week camp memento! 

Primary Daily Activities

Kinder-Fifth FAYcation Experience  

During Kinder – Fifth Grade FAYcation at The Fay School, campers participate in full day camps consisting of both educational and specialty courses, along with our signature programs which includes designated time in the Forest and time to create connections with fellow campers, taught by Fay School Faculty. Each week features Science and Literacy explorations tying into a weekly theme, along with a rotating schedule of specialty classes. Campers are divided into groups by age, and activities are tailored to be developmentally appropriate for each group. Each week ends with a Friday Splash Day celebration, featuring a bounce house/water slide combo, themed movie, snow cones, and an end-of-week camp memento!

Specialty courses in previous years have focused on Art, Drama, Physical Education, Gymnastics and more. Further details on each week's specialty courses will be provided as they are scheduled.
