Our mission
The FAYcation Summer Camp offers participants a variety of enriching opportunities in line with the mission and values of The Fay School in a secure, enriching, and academically challenging environment, where respectful communication and inclusion of campers and staff from all backgrounds remains paramount. Here, children learn and grow intellectually, physically, socially, ethically, and artistically while developing self-confidence and a lifelong love of learning through an active partnership among educators, parents, and students.
General Information
FAYcation is available for all Houston-area children entering Primary I (age 3) through Fifth Grade. Registration for FAYcation 2022 opens on Monday, February 14, 2022, at 10:00am. Friday Splash Days are returning to FAYcation Summer Camp! This includes an afternoon outdoor water play, Kona Ice Snow Cones, and a movie related to our weekly theme for all grade levels.
A note on COVID-19 Precautions
FAYcation Summer Camp will adhere to all COVID-19 protocols set by the school during camp and are subject to change between registration open and camp start. We are offering later dates by which to cancel for a refund so you can make the best decision for your family should our protocols not align with your needs. We intend on utilizing Fay's outdoor spaces for camp activities, including outdoor lunch and snack time. Contact Rachel Rubin, Extended Day Coordinator, with any questions!

What is the FAYcation Summer Camp?
- FAYcation is a day camp for children ages three years through Fifth Grade. In addition to students enrolled at The Fay School, FAYcation is open to Houston-area students.

What are FAYcation Summer Camp hours?
- Morning Care (or Early-Drop Off): 7:30-8:30am
- Half-Day Option: 8:30am to 12:00pm
- Full-Day Option: 8:30am to 3:00pm

Is each week different?
- YES! FAYcation has a different theme each week of the summer camp. Activities, crafts, and games are all tied to the weekly theme. The themes for each week are listed below:

Do you serve lunch at FAYcation?
- You may order lunch through The Simply Fresh Kitchen for your FAYcation camper.

Do we get to meet the FAYcation teachers before camp?
- Yes! We will hold a Meet the Teacher event in May. Look out for more information when you register!

Do I have to enroll my child in all four weeks of FAYcation?

No, you may choose one week, two weeks, or all four weeks!

Do you offer any drop-in feature (a few days a week)?
- Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we have suspended our Drop-in options.

What will my camper do in the morning hours?
- All campers participate in faculty-led classes, including themed arts and crafts, science experiments, active games, snacks (provided), and recess.

What will my camper do during the afternoon hours?
- Primary campers (three and four year olds) have storytime and rest.
- Older campers participate in more faculty-led activities such as Engineering Challenges, Active Games, and more.
- All campers have snack and recess and afternoon wrap-up with their camp group.

Can my child, who just graduated from Fifth Grade, attend FAYcation?
- YES! We accept ages three years through Fifth Grade students!
