TEAM FAY Reaches 100% Annual Fund Participation for Three Consecutive Years

The Fay School's strategic plan recognizes that "the world's future landscape will not need your child to complete standardized tests, check boxes, or regurgitate memorized information. The world's future landscape will need leaders with heightened emotional intelligence who innovate through collaboration and then implement creative solutions to unforeseen or persistent challenges. Fay Leaders are the leaders that will create and harness that future." This statement remains as true as ever, especially as we examine current events in Houston and globally.

Our Annual Fund accelerates the implementation of the priorities in our strategic plan so that we can more quickly realize the world for which we hope. This is a world that, among many things, certainly celebrates diversity, works towards increased inclusivity, rewards integrity, and prioritizes peace.

Reaching 100% participation in our Annual Fund for the third year in a row is an unprecedented achievement that cannot be understated. For context, the national average of giving by independent school parents sits at 71%, according to NAIS. Reaching 100% signals that we have a school community absolutely aligned in its values, trajectory, and the firm belief that your children will benefit from the safest, most nurturing, and research-based education that The Fay School can provide. Thank you to the Fay community for this unbelievable buy-in as we strive to achieve our strategic priorities:

  • Deepen leadership development through emotional intelligence.
  • Redefine the academic experience by excelling in experiential and outdoor learning.
  • Reimagine time, place, and assessment.
  • Create valuable partnerships.
  • Investigate extending The Fay School's curriculum past Fifth Grade.

An extra special note of appreciation to Joseph Ngo and Lina Ortega (P'26, '27,' 28) and all the Annual Fund Committee members for leading this initiative and helping Fay reach 100% participation for the third year in a row!
