5 Reasons Why The School Gala Is The Parent’s Night Out You Don’t Want To Miss!

It is very easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle of a school year and ignore the Gala invitation. When it is Gala season at your child’s school, do not hesitate, schedule a babysitter and enjoy a parent night out celebrating your school community!

Below are 5 reasons why your school’s gala is a parent’s night out you don’t want to miss:

  1. Students are the stars of the show
At the auction and gala, support of student education is the focus. Attendees are connected by a common passion for their child’s education. Student artwork and experiences for children to participate in unique opportunities with their friends and faculty also are offered.

  2. Volunteers work tirelessly out of love
The parent volunteers work for months to create an unforgettable celebration. School galas are a love letter to children, and the school wants to share it with you! Imagine a committee of parent volunteers, working together to plan an evening in support of their children’s education. The love in every single is genuinely something you will be happy to support.

  3. Connect with fellow parents
The world today moves at a rapid pace and it can be difficult to make time to cultivate relationships with others that we see every day in the carpool line! Send an email to your class and encourage other parents to purchase a ticket and request to sit together at the Gala. You will have a stronger connection with fellow parents enjoying an evening among adults, celebrating your school and your children.

  4. A celebration of the School Community
A previous Fay blog explored the importance of a school community. At Fay, we recruit families, not students. The Gala is a collaborative effort that takes the time, talent and treasures of the entire school community joining together in support. This event is a celebration for those who make the school a philanthropic priority.

  5. It is just plain FUN!
The school gala is the “Oscars” of the school year! We roll out the red carpet, for an evening to gather together recognizing the history of where we have come and look ahead and where the school is going. Complete with an auction, interactive games, and much more it is an evening you won’t want to miss!

I encourage you to attend your child’s school Gala! You won’t regret taking the time to support your school at a fun and engaging event connecting with fellow parents.
