Visit Campus

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet

Your child’s learning will come alive on Fay's 8.5 acres of naturally landscaped property located in the heart of Houston.

We warmly welcome families to see firsthand what makes The Fay School such an outstanding Houston private school. Our one-of-a-kind academic oasis offers opportunities for your child to experience learning in new ways.

To schedule an individual tour email the Director of Admissions, Megan Bryan.

Every family's needs are different and attending a tour will allow you to explore the campus, learn about Fay, and ask any questions you may have. We invite you to see and feel why children thrive in this setting. We encourage all families to experience our glowing, green gem of a campus for themselves, by scheduling a personal tour or attending our Hot Cocoa and S’mores gathering in our Fay Forest we host each winter. The optimal time to schedule an individual tour of The Fay School is when school is in session to witness all of the Fay children’s outdoor and future-focused learning.

As students grow into their elementary years, they move into the 30,000 square foot Elementary School Building that is made up of three stories of state-of-the-art classrooms, an art studio, covered play area, and L.E.A.D Lab (makerspace), multi-purpose spaces, and wrap-around porches that serve to encourage continual interface with the surrounding natural environment.

The Marie Fay Evnochides Building provides the entire campus with a complete library with resources to support all grade levels, a multi-purpose gymnasium and performance area, spaces for parent volunteers, and outside resource workspaces.

The Fay School's amphitheater is used for various school assemblies, performances, and other community gatherings. Not to mention, it is a pristine place to take classroom learning outside!

The Fay Forest is an experience unparalleled on any other Houston private school campus. This 3.5-acre piece of land allows children to follow nature trails that explore the natural spring, the Buffalo Bayou, the home to a variety of wildlife, and the natural environment for a wide variety of plant life.

The Havens Outdoor Education Center serves as the gateway to our Fay Forest and a resource for faculty outside their core classroom. This screened-in facility provides both a quiet place for learning and an open environment with a direct connection to the natural habitat.

The LEAD (Learning, Engineering, and Design) Lab is a multipurpose space used for children to explore and create various projects. From technology rich (robotics, 3d printing, etc.) to unplugged (cardboard, recycled materials, etc.) materials, there is something to spark every childs creative side. Students have scheduled STEAM time in the LEAD lab each year, where they have specific projects that align with the PBL units they are doing in the classroom. Students also can visit the LEAD lab in their free time to explore and create freely.

The Fondren House contains indoor and outdoor classrooms for our Primary Division. This facility embraces the needs of our young students with an age-appropriate design, construction, and seamless interface between the indoor and outdoor environments, promoting an integrated curriculum designed to address the needs of the whole child.

The historical Fay Family House sits in the center of campus and houses the school’s administrative offices. Built in 1937 and designed by renowned architect John F. Staub, the home has set the tone for the creation of a campus consisting of five facilities, each designed to address the specific needs of the students The Fay School serves.

The Fay School leverages the vast amount of outdoor space to take learning outdoors as much as possible. This includes moving lessons onto the porches of our classrooms or using natural resources to create an outdoor classroom of our own!

The Fay Farm is Fay's newest habitat, established in the summer of 2020. With raised beds, fruit trees, and a chicken coop filled with a flock of chickens, classes come here to work, play, observe, and nurture living things. Upper Elementary students take turns sending out farm reports that include a call for farmhands as they learn about what it takes to grow food and be responsible for animals.

The Fay School's "Backyard" is an oasis for children to explore and play! Our Backyard has two playgrounds, designed for Primary and Lower Elementary children.
