What is the application deadline?

The Fay School's deadline for first-round application consideration is January 20, 2022, for the 2022-2023 school year.

Will you accept my child's application after the first-round application deadline?

Yes! After the first-round application deadline, all applications will be considered on a rolling basis.

When is the ideal time to submit an application to The Fay School?

The Fay School Admissions Office can receive an application any time after the applicant's date of birth. 

Is there preference given to application files that are submitted early?

No! We give all applications submitted before the first round admissions deadline equal consideration.

Do siblings and legacy students receive priority?

Yes. We do our best to keep families together in the same school home. 

What is the best way for me to learn more about The Fay School?

All parents are encouraged to attend a personal tour the fall before their child will be eligible to attend Fay. To schedule a tour, please contact our Director of Admissions, Ali Lyman, by email. Personal tours are led by the Admissions Office and generally last an hour.

What is the difference between a group visit and a school visit?

A group visit is when a group of prospective students are invited to campus. The group visits provide Fay with the opportunity to meet your child in a Fay classroom setting. Typically, these group visits are designed for first-round applicants who are applying to Primary - First Grade.

A school visit is when your child is invited to visit a Fay classroom during the school day. The school visits provide Fay with the opportunity to meet your child. Typically, these school visits are scheduled for children who apply to Fay after the first-round application deadline or for applicants applying to Second - Fifth Grade.

When will I hear if my child is accepted?

Admission Decisions Letters are emailed out the second week of March for first-round applicants.

When does my family have to submit the enrollment contract accepting the space for my child at The Fay School?

The Common Reply Date (CRD) is March 31, 2022, for the 2022-2023 school year. After the CRD, the Admissions Office will offer spaces to students in the wait pool.

Is the admissions office open during the summer?

The Fay School campus comes alive when the students are learning in our academic oasis. That said, the optimal time to schedule an individual tour of The Fay School is when school is in session. While deferring your tour to the Fall of 2021 after school resumes is recommended, we offer limited tour times throughout the summer months.
