Reading over the summer, whether your child is listening to you read or reading books on their own, is critical to maintaining their reading skills and fostering their love of learning. Let’s continue to celebrate the joy and wonder of books all summer long! Questions? Contact our Librarian, Megan Hopkins.
Incoming Primary I, Primary II, and Kindergarteners
We encourage you to read to your children often over the summer months. While there is no requirement to read a certain number of books, you can use this sheet to mark the number of books you read this summer. Many children enjoy tracking how many books they have read!
Incoming First and Second Graders
Our aim is to encourage students to explore a wide range of books over the summer. As new readers in Lower Elementary, reading consistently over the summer helps retain and build upon the reading skills they’ve learned this past school year. Although there is no requirement to read a certain number of books, you can use this sheet to mark the number of books you read this summer.
Incoming Third - Fifth Graders
Upper Elementary students are required to read the book(s) listed below. In addition, we encourage all students to read widely and often this summer! Students can use this sheet to track their reading progress.
