Carpool Guidelines
We ask for your support in making carpool a safe time on our campus.
- Please follow all carpool guidelines included in the Parent-Student Handbook, Summer Series Carpool information, Fay Flyers, and other official Fay School communications.
- Please display all carpool tags issued by the school. Should you need additional tags, please reach out to Director of Technology and Operations John Grube.
- When entering and exiting campus, please use your blinkers and signal early to indicate your intent. This greatly helps our officers directing traffic.
- Follow all direction from officers and staff. Drive cautiously on campus and observe the speed limit of 10 mph at all times.
- Stay in your car at all times and allow staff members to assist with your student.
- Refrain from the use of cell phones or other electronic devices while in carpool and school parking lot.
Morning Drop Off
- Enter line from North Post Oak Lane. Please use blinkers and indicate your turn early to assist our officers in maintaining a smooth and efficient flow of traffic.
- Please display carpool tags provided by the school.
- Children must be ready to exit cars upon arrival at unloading zones.
- Parents should move their cars to the most forward position and avoid gaps in the line.
- Children must exit on the passenger side of the car, away from traffic.
- Parents must remain in the car when the student is exiting the vehicle.
- Refrain from discussions with faculty members during drop-off.
Afternoon Pickup by Oldest Child's Grade Segment
To minimize the number of pick-up times, siblings should be picked up during the oldest sibling’s carpool time. Example: If a Lower Elementary (LE) student has a sibling in Upper Elementary (UE), the LE student should be picked up during the UE carpool time. The school will provide supervision for siblings waiting for their older sibling's carpool time.
Please note: carpool pickup times and instructions do not apply to Extended Day activities. Please consult messaging from the Extended Day office for information regarding pickup logistics.
Scroll to the bottom of the page for early-release pickup instructions. Any additional information for non-standard release days will be provided in the Fay Flyer.
