Grade Specific Application Procedures
Group Visits
All applicants for Kindergarten and First Grade are invited to attend a group visit. The group visit is offered in a classroom setting with other same age applicants and generally lasts 1 ½ hours.
The Admission Office will schedule your child for a group visit in January or February:
- Friday, January 25th - 12:30 - 2:30pm
- Friday, February 1st - 12:30 – 2:30 pm
- Friday, February 8th - 12:30 – 2:30 pm
Individual Evaluation
The Individual Evaluation can be scheduled through The Fay School School or another school of your choice. To schedule the evaluation through The Fay School, please contact the admissions office at 713-681-8300 x 315. The Fay School contracts Tami Clark of Education Specialists to perform this test. The test is administered at her office on 10700 Richmond Ave., Ste. 107.

First Grade applications: Please download (pdf) and sign this confidential form and give it to your child’s current teacher.
In order to give the teacher more time to get to know the applicant better, we ask that teachers not complete this form before December 1. The recommendations are due by January 30, 2013.
Your child’s application cannot be processed until this form is received in the Admissions Office.
