Gala
The Gala is our annual spring fundraising event and, combined with the Annual Fund, fulfills the funding requirements of the school each year. There is not a more exciting evening for Fay as our families come together to build community, celebrate our accomplishments, and most importantly support The Fay School. On top of general expenses, the school invests heavily in important programs such as Writers in the Schools, the Visiting Author Series, and enhanced specialty programs.
With approximately 400 people attending each year, this evening provides families the opportunity to support the school though underwriting, the purchase of tickets, and the live and silent auctions. Be sure to purchase your tickets for an opportunity to bid on exciting items from services in town and great trips out of town to teacher treasures where your child can have a blast with their favorite teacher on a special outing.
We are happy to provide a sneak peek of our 2013 Gala with some exciting new additions to our annual event. Be sure to SAVE THE DATE for Saturday, March 2nd, 2013. Underwriting opportunities and tickets will be available beginning in January. We hope to see you there!
In case you aren’t ready to call it a night there will be a casino after party from 10:15 – 12ish. Enjoy another cocktail while playing a hand at blackjack! The casino after party will be conveniently located right by the auction area. Make sure your babysitter can stay late!
Don’t worry about getting up from your table to check on the item you don't want to miss! This year you will be able to bid from your smartphone as well as touchpads that will be on the auction tables and moving about the event. You will be able to check the status of your bids, set maximum bids, see which items are moving the fastest or which you could get for a real steal!
Auction donations are coming in, and we are so grateful to everyone that supports The Fay School Gala. If you or someone you know is interested in donating an item please contact Amanda Morrow. We are looking for everything from vacation homes and hotels to sporting event tickets and spa treatments. This year we have also added a number of new opportunities for businesses to support our Gala and have their brand featured across our event.
